Some very RARE negative comments about Glocks. Why do I post these? Because for every guy like me that acknowledges that Glocks aren't perfect, there are (at least) 1000 who say they ARE!

Give me a 10 plus 1 that fits my hand and is durable, won't KaBoom in the next 25K rounds and is light on the hip and shoots straight. Sounds like the newest Glock will do just that.
There is a lot that could be better with the 45 ACP cartridge. Anyone who reloads and has half a brain, will be able to pick up the problems of half loaded cases and the better powders available today in a weak case design.
I am not a big fan of Glocks. They don't fit my hand and they have the nasty habit of KaBooming, in everything but 9mm on a regular basis besides having the well deserved reputation of not being the most relaible gun on the planet for the beginning shooter. Given all of that, the newest .45 cal. Glock will be one of the first new guns I buy in the coming months.

KB's on Glocks are not a wives tale, not in the slightest. I have seen only one but know others including Dane who have seen several especially in the .40's. I am not a Glock hater. I would have rather seen them make the new Glock in a straight .45 but who knows, like Deunan said regarding the .357 Sig, who knew.

I have personally witnessed 4 Kbs with Glock and looked into the afteraffects of quite a few others.

I can document more KaBooms with issued factory ammo in a Glock than we currently have posts on this thread. Glock can do a whole lot more. Not to acknowledge that fact is silly.
Took some stones to NOT do what everyone seems to have wanted. I was a bit taken a back myself but am impressed with the vision. The shooting industry and it's customers are the most conservative group of consumers in the world. If it was left to the forums nothing new would ever make production. In this case I think Gaston Glock made the smart move...and improved the "45".
Time will tell who is right on the "new" 45 but I would put money on Gaston.
Easy enough to see why from first reports:
(1) stronger case
(2) more effecient case for power stack and burn
(3) safer pressures for the velocity achieved
(4) the round fits in a 9mm size frame (which means Glock isn't the only Glock that wins, all the manufactures and in the end the consumers)

I agree that the .45 Glock may be a neat new round and I far prefer the G22 size frame over the G21 size. I am a HUGE Glock fan and think they are on the short list of pistols to own. However, I am still peeved at Glock for several reasons (I won't even get into the recent political stuff).
1) The US market has wanted a slim full sized .45 ACP pistol for years and Glock has never responded. In my mind the G37 still does not fill this void.
2) Glock hasn't innovated in a LONG time. Until the G36 everything was just a variation of the G17 or G21. Plus when they did come out with the G36 it was the first Glock that I heard large numbers of reliability complaints about, not to mention the lame fat baseplate/short frame design. Doesn't say much about their engineers.
3) Glock has pretty much ignored the competition market even though the pistol has become quite popular in IDPA and IPSC. Let's see Berreta, Sig, HK, CZ, etc. all have competition variants. The market is there so are they just incapable of engineering a competition gun?
4) Glock is unwilling to own up to problems or mistakes. Why not start making barrels with fully supported chambers? Why hide recalls behind "upgrades"?
I just don't see Glock as a company that is listening to it's customers and responding in kind. I am not sure about patents and things like that but I think Glock has turned into the "Colt of old" and they need a new "Kimber-like" company to come along and make them work for their business. Let history repeat itself for the benefit of the shooters!. Why do I post these?
