If you're new to guns you might want to check these out before you go out and buy a gun.
One thing that I DO advise people...go out to a reputable shooting range and try the guns that they have there. They'll usually have a variety of guns in each caliber that you can try. If you don't like it, a reputable gun range will let you change weapons free of charge. When you are on the range, remember Cooper's rules of safe gun handling. They are as follows:
RULE I: ALL GUNS ARE ALWAYS LOADED
RULE II: NEVER LET THE MUZZLE COVER ANYTHING YOU ARE NOT WILLING TO DESTROY
RULE III: KEEP YOUR FINGER OFF THE TRIGGER UNTIL YOUR SIGHTS ARE ON THE TARGET
RULE IV: BE SURE OF YOUR TARGET
We at GACA will NOT endorse one gun over the other-we just want our newbies to be able to make informed choices when buying their first gun. We are available to answer questions of any kind to help you in making your choice, but ultimately the final decision is yours. You should also be certain you've carefully considered the implications of owning a deadly instrument such as a gun, and made the moral step in your mind and conscience to take a life, if needed to protect your own, or that of a loved one. If you're not comfortable with a certain model for any reason, please speak up. Your life may very well depend at a later time on the decision you make, and it must be a gun you can have total confidence in to defend your life with, if that day and choice comes!
This video is given for general informational purposes only, and each viewer must make the final purchase decision for themselves, based on hand size, fit, feel, ergonomics, etc. GACA is in no way responsible for the choices made, and Cooper's rules of safe gun handling always apply, and should be obeyed each time a firearm is carried, or handled.
